This presentation will discuss recent research that investigates the interchangeability of natural gas, hydrogen, and hydrogen blends. Using both classical semi-empirical methods and modern simulation tools, we will explore the key variables influencing hydrogen compatibility in burners. Our objective is to deepen the collective understanding of the observed performance, emissions, and compatibility trends in conventional natural gas burners. The ultimate goal of this presentation is to provide insights and build intuition about designing combustion systems for hydrogen compatibility.
