Abbey Dorian is the Energy Sector Lead at BSI. She is a Standards professional with extensive experience in collaborative working with industry and government to address energy sector needs and challenges through standardization. She oversees a strategic standardization portfolio of established and emerging energy sector focus areas including hydrogen, energy system digitalization, battery technology, nuclear energy, and wind energy systems.
Abbey has been involved in a variety of standardization programmes to derisk new technologies and build customer confidence in renewable energy resources including the Hy4Heat Programme, the BSI Faraday Battery Challenge and Energy Smart Appliances. Before her time at BSI, she worked at the Australian National Standards Body, Standards Australia in a range of roles, including overseeing the energy & electrotechnology, mining, and oil & gas stakeholder engagement portfolio.
