As a principal specialist in combustion processes and gas quality at DNV. Sander finished his PhD on the experimental study of the autoignition properties of methane/hydrogen mixtures in 2007 at the University of Groningen. Sander Gersen is working for several international parties like for example fuel suppliers, natural gas grid operators and engine and appliance manufacturers on technical issues regarding the introduction of (sustainable) fuels such as LNG, hydrogen and ammonia. Sander published more than 40 papers in scientific journals regarding gas quality measurements, combustion behavior of gaseous fuels and gas interchangeability.
