Jillian Townsend

Jillian is an engineer in the Fuels Sector at Natural Resources Canada. She provides engineering and technical analysis and advice, as well as technical support in the context of codes and standards development, which enable implementation of the Hydrogen Strategy for Canada. This includes actively participating in the Canadian Hydrogen Codes and Standards Working Group as well as multiple task forces within the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy. Jillian has 9 years of diverse experience in both the private and public sector, with most roles relating to environmental sustainability and the assessment of low-carbon energy opportunities. Jillian holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
