Sidney contributes to the development and implementation of gas codes as current Chair of the Interprovincial/Territorial Gas Advisory Council as well as numerous subcommittees. Plumbing codes are similarly supported by membership in the Canadian Regulatory Committee for Plumbing, the Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing and the standing committee for Plumbing and HVAC with the National Research Council. The Canadian safety system is also supported through participation on the Accreditation Advisory Panel with the Standards Council of Canada as well as steering committees for gas with CSA and internationally for alternate fuels, biofuels and vehicles.
